How to configure MIDI with your Meris pedal

There is an issue with the MIDI THRU mapping in the Baby v22, essentially the “USB” and “MultiJack” settings are reversed.

Please update your MIDI Baby with the latest firmware version available at https://www.disasterareadesigns.com/support

Setup with Meris with DMC 3XL

https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/new-meris-pedal-enzo-multi-voice-synthesizer.1973380/post-32121460

  1. if you use firmware 1.60 or older on your DMC 3XL, this editor will only work one way - from pc/mac to your meris pedal, it also only worked for me when the Meris pedal was connected to the DMCs midi output, didnt work connected to its multijack midi out (even though it did work that way without the app)
  2. the Disaster Area support team can send you the 1.62 firmware, which is not on their web at the moment because its just a Beta version yet.
  3. then the settings should be the following:

Meris pedal configuration:

  • EXP Mode: MIDI
  • MIDI output mode: MIDI OUT
  • MIDI channel: 1

DMC configuration:

  • DevA = Meris (MERS)
  • JACK = MID3
  • InCh = OFF (or anything else than 1 in this case)
  • USB = MIDI
  • THRU = ON (or some have the option USB here, probably another firmware)
